As Hill notes here, it is difficult to imagine a better way to mark Black History Month than returning to James Baldwin. And of his many contributions few if any are more riveting - as Hill points out - than his debate at Cambridge University in 1965 with William F. Buckley. There are several such YouTube events I routinely turn to when in need of a mental pickup, and the Baldwin-Buckley debate is near the top of my list. Thanks to Hill for reminding us of this debate; it remains as powerful today as in 1965 - perhaps even more so.
