Another perceptive article by Hill. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were fearful enough. Now we have the Nine Black Robes of SCOTUS, with five (perhaps six) fully armed, on horseback and riding hard for states rights. They've already decided women's health-care is best done on a state-by-state basis. (Hey, women are different in each state.) And as Hill points out the Nine Black Robes may also feel voting rights and election procedures are best done by states. (Hey, voters are different in each state; some even vote for the wrong candidates - the state legislatures can rectify that.)

Perhaps even disaster relief should be run by state agencies. Florida should have been prepared for hurricane Ian and had their own FEMA (Florida Emergency Management Agency) for the clean-up afterwards - leave the feds out of it. Surely if Florida can be trusted with women's health-care and voting matters, they should be able to handle local disasters without federal bail outs And that socialistic federal retirement program and that federal health-care program for seniors - get the feds out of those and give the states the freedom to develop their own programs. (Hey, retirees are different in each state, and seniors in one state will have different health problems than in another.)

Let's hope those Nine Black Robes can get the federal government down to bath tub size. The states can handle things. Let the feds deal with National Parks, Interstate Highways, naming Post Offices and similar matters that don't threaten to help folks in need.

Riveting. This information needs to be heard from house and roof. Because it’s election law many don’t know it’s going on. Thank you for this piece.
